ABOUT Alicia T Vega

Alicia is a proven leader in stabilizing, strengthening, and sustaining resources that benefit communities with inequitable access. She has committed her life to serving the Chicagoland community of youth and families and will bring that same commitment to you.

Alicia holds a Master of Jurisprudence Degree in Child and Family Law. She is a member of Intentional Interim Executive Director Services and completed the Interim Executives Academy Program with Third Sector Company. She holds a certificate in Leading for DEI from the Baumhart Center for Social Enterprise and Responsibility. Alicia has also served in a multitude of leadership positions and is currently a Commissioner on the Illinois Youth Budget Commission as well as serving on the Forefront Mission Sustainability Initiative Advisory Board.

Work with the organizational leaders, board, staff, partners and communities served to develop the internal capacity to be the most effective it can be in its mission work and to sustain itself over the long term.

Interim Executive Director Leadership

Immediately stepping in to stabilize the organization, provide support to staff, keep revenue streams on track, communicate with the Board, help determine the search profile for a new leader, and guide the onboarding of new leadership.

Coaching New Leaders

Provide coaching to support the success of new Executive Directors, CEOs or Directors with guidance, resources, and strategy development.  

Program Development and Evaluation

Conduct needs assessments, create program plans, pilot the program, adjust for improvements, and train staff to successfully deliver and evaluate the program. Also, conduct program evaluations on existing programs.

At Chicago Children's Advocacy Center during its first 8 years of operation, progressed from front line worker to executive management. As such, built out multiple departments and organizational infrastructure.

Preserved successful program outcomes, strategic partnerships and financial security of a $3.8 million organization while serving on an executive team during the unexpected absence of an executive director.

Built the Youth Action Board model of youth who have experienced homelessness and oversaw the first 2 years which successfully incorporated youth voice into policy and practice decision making across Chicago.
